1. What We Collect

When you create a Christmas greeting, we collect the information you voluntarily provide: recipient name, sender name, your personal message, and optional extras (title, signature, music preference). We do not collect your email address, phone number, or any account credentials.

We automatically collect basic analytics data such as greeting views, reactions, and share events. This data is anonymous and linked only to a specific greeting link, not to any individual.

2. Local Storage

Your created greetings (including the share link and your creator token) are saved in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share the greeting link. Clearing your browser data removes all locally stored greetings.

3. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for admin authentication purposes only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

4. How We Use Your Data

The information you provide is used solely to create and display your personalized Christmas greeting. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use Brevo to send optional email notifications (e.g. when your recipient opens a greeting). This only happens if an email address is collected as part of a feature that includes it.

5. Data Retention

All Christmas greetings are automatically deleted from our servers after January 24, 2027 (30 days after Christmas Day 2026). You can delete your greeting at any time from the My Greetings page.

6. Third-Party Services

• Cloudinary — Image hosting for uploaded photos in greetings.
• Brevo — Email delivery service for optional notifications.
• MongoDB Atlas — Secure, encrypted database for storing greeting content.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data handling practices.

7. Your Rights

You may delete any greeting you created at any time using the My Greetings page. Since we collect no account information, there is no personal profile to delete. For any other requests, contact us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

Christmas Magic is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us.
